Pesticides are part of a category of products known as\u00a0<\/strong>plant protection products, whose purpose is to\u00a0kill any harmful organisms<\/strong>\u00a0that could compromise the health and growth of crops. More specifically, the herbicides<\/strong> act on weeds, killing them and preventing their regrowth in the cultivated field.<\/p>\n

The use of herbicides and pesticides in general, however, has\u00a0several negative consequences <\/strong>on the environment: first of all, the chemical compounds and substances contained in these products can remain in the soil for many years<\/strong>\u00a0because they are only partially absorbed by the plants that are to be removed.
