How does a bed former work?
These accessories are suited for all our stone burier models (ISXL, ISL-IS and ISR) and can easily be used both in open fields and greenhouses.
We identify two main categories of bed formers:
– WITH SHAPED HOOD
– WITH HYDRAULIC FORCED ROLLER.
The main difference is in the method used to obtain furrows.
Bed formers with shaped hood (round or rectangular): it forms one or more furrows of soil in the desired measures; suited for any cultivation.
Bed formers with roller: the machine is equipped with a smooth hydraulic roller with speed independent of machine advance and forms one or more very compact and steady soil furrows. It is possible to obtain only two different heights for the furrows (11cm and 15 cm); thus suited for horticultural crops for mechanical harvesting such as salad, rocket, etc.
In both cases, it is possible to add:
– Front conveyor discs;
– Side or rear wheels for greater stabilization of the machine.
